M.Ed & PGD in Educational Leadership and School Improvement

BIED’s MEd and PGD in Education Leadership and School Improvement Program is designed to develop the skills and capacities of students as an education leader and manager. 

Uniqueness of the Program:


•    A minimum 15 years of education (mandatory)
•    A minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized/accredited institutions in any discipline (with no 3rd class/division or CGPA below 2.50)
•    Fluency in English (both written and spoken)

EDU 502 (2 credits): Leading Improvement in Education: Ongoing work in Bangladesh
EDU 503 (3 credits): Creating Learning Organizations: Leadership, Planning and Management
EDU 504 (4 credits): Research Methods 1: Reading Research and Writing Reports
EDU 505 (2 credits): Principles of Curriculum and the Development of Learning Materials
EDU 506 (3 credits): Leaders as Learners: Leading People in Educational Institutions
EDU 507 (2 credits): Leaders as Learners: How Children and Adults Learn
EDU 508 (3 credits): Educational Measurement and Evaluation
EDU 509 (3 credits): The Whole School Improvement Approach: How can we make it work?
EDU 601 (3 credits): Improving Outcomes in Bangladeshi Schools: A Case Study
EDU 602 (3 credits): Research Methods 2: Planning and Preparing Research
EDU 603 (9 credits): Master’s Thesis
